Manufacturing Custom-Built Precision Tooling

Daryl Collins has been machining for almost 50 years and building tooling since 1982. His experience and talent with jig & Fixture building, led him to specialize in check and qualify fixtures (MQFs) for Bell Helicopter, GE, Rocketdyne and Boeing, leading one tooling exec at a foundry to exclaim, "Now that's what I call a check fixture!"

When he was 16, Daryl worked at a machine shop in South Gate, California, making Harley-Davidson parts after school. His interest in fabrication, long nurtured in his dad's various auto shops, lead him to Cerritos College for welding classes. Welding experience included a young Daryl "Bead" Collins helping to build pro-stock drag bikes for Vance & Hines back when they were with RC Engineering.

They don't call him the Bead for nothing.
